Manual Revision History

About 7 min read

This page lists the changes made to the user manual itself. For the changes to the product between versions, see the Release Notes page.

The manual is published with each product version and carries the same version number as the product. Corrections made within the same product version are added to that version's row with their dates.

2.11.02026-10-24The Energy Performance section was added: overview, license and archive mode, roles, definitions, period report, closing and revision, trend, closed reports and archive access, backup and restore, status and error messages, frequently asked questions. The right, the roles and the backup module of the module were added to the license, user and group management and backup pages. The widget reference gained the Page time picker, Alarm table, Downtime timeline, Heatmap, Energy scatter and Manual entry table pages and the time source and comparison settings of the Chart and Data table. The Downtime Reasons (engineering) and Entering Downtime Reasons (operator) pages were added; the log definitions, license and backup pages gained the downtime reason settings, and the widget reference gained the Downtime reason Pareto page and the Downtime reasons setting of the Downtime timeline. The widget reference gained the Downtime reason entry page, and the Entering Downtime Reasons page gained the Operator panel section. The Page time picker (custom range), Alarm table (device filter) and Downtime timeline (segment cap) pages and the release notes were updated; the Entering Downtime Reasons page gained the note on stops whose older data is not loaded. The Templates and Blocks page gained the Production Line and Operator Downtime Panel templates, and the Entering Downtime Reasons page the Pareto Excel export. The Page Rotations page gained page transitions. The Event Code page now describes that from 2.11 only SystemAdmin accounts can add or change event code, that onChange code that runs without a user action runs with a restricted this.srt, and the event code warnings in the editor; the Page Editor, Templates and Blocks, Process Groups and Access, and Backup and Restore pages were updated for this rule. The Internet and Network Access page gained the browser session (session renewal cookie, HTTPS and the same-site requirement), the Panel PC and Kiosk page the effect of signing in and signing out on shared kiosk accounts, the Interface Tour page the per-tab session and sign-out, and the Upgrading and REST API pages the 2.11 session notes. The Shift Report, Daily Energy Report and Alarm Report templates were added to the Templates and Blocks page, the page time range in the print header and printing of alarm tables to the Page Viewer page, and the separate exclusion of BACnet/IP and MTConnect from a license to the License page. The Alarms and Interface Tour pages now describe Lock applying to the whole selection and the permanent lock.
2.10.12026-10-22The German manual was added. Screenshots were retaken on 2.10.1 in the Turkish, English and German interface; the sample data in the images appears in the language of the manual. Interface labels, the installation section and the REST API query limits were updated for 2.10.1. A note was added to the introduction page stating that the names in screenshots and examples are samples. The description of the sample project on the First Project, Installation, Internal and Consumption and Snapshots pages was updated for the new sample project (isometric Overview, Plant Layout, Plant Summary, energy analyzers with 17 tags, consumption logs). The Page Rotations page was added. The Panel PC and Kiosk, Page Viewer, Interface Tour and Upgrading pages now describe how kiosk screens recover by themselves after an outage, the connection strips, the Server not reachable page and the new version notice. A recipe for a shared equipment window that serves many items with one modal window (the link's tag prefix and title, the composite component prefix placeholder, inputs cleared when switching motors) was added to the Page Editor page; the Page Editor and Event Code pages now state that in 2.10.1 the tag() and tagValue() functions in binding expressions resolve names with the prefix of the page or modal. The Event Code page now describes that tag values are kept during a connection outage and that addTag values are removed at logout; the Page Viewer and Panel PC and Kiosk pages now state that values are kept during an outage and update without a page reload when the connection is back. The Alarms, Interface Tour, Page Viewer and Panel PC and Kiosk pages now state that the alarm list keeps its last known state during an outage and is replaced by the server's active alarms when the connection is back. The Page Editor page now states that in 2.10.1 tag names in tagValue() and changePercentage() are added to the page's tag list. The Event Code page now has a warning that event code runs with the permissions of the user who opened the page and should be written only by trusted editors, and states that on the Check box and Drop-down the onChange code also runs when the bound tag changes, that the Button group writes the value only when the user selects it, and that onMouseDown and onMouseUp code runs on the Check box, Switch, Radio group and Button group from 2.10.1; it now correctly states that snapshot names written in full in quotes in event code are read without a binding. A Tag write scope section was added to the Process Groups and Access page; the Event Code, EtherNet/IP, Dashboard and Data Model pages now state that Pulse and Rising edge commands follow the same process group scope as alarms, and the statement that Genel does not allow these commands was corrected. The Templates page now states that widgets inside a composite component receive their live values with the full names formed with the component prefix; the Event Code page now states that from 2.10.1 a tag read in event code is added to the page's tag list on the first read, and the advice to add a hidden binding is limited to code that needs the value the first time it runs; the note on the shared equipment window on the Page Editor page now describes the tags that reach the browser in the same way. An Exporting and Importing Pages section (the commands in both menus, single page .json and all pages .zip, the import window, overwrite and skip existing, landing page and the page open in the editor) was added to the Page Management and Access page, and the Page Editor page was updated accordingly. The selection behavior of Lock was added to the Alarms page, and the Backup and Restore page now states that session refresh and password recovery work during a restore.
