This section is for project engineers who set up and configure a 2WinScada project. Definitions are made from the Settings menu of the application.
A typical project follows this order:
- Tag Management: channel, device and tag definitions. Protocol-specific settings are in the Protocols section. Device Profiles can be used for devices of the same type.
- Log (Archive) Definitions and Alarm Definitions
- Notifications
- Process Groups and Task Centers
- Designing monitoring pages with the Page Editor and granting access to them with Page Management
- Optional: turning on downtime reason entry for machines and setting up the reason catalog with Downtime Reasons
- Showing pages one after another on kiosk and wall displays with Page Rotations
- Touch screen HMI panels and industrial PCs with Touch Panels: size rules, touch mode and locked controls
